Dear Reinhart, 50 years to this very day that my uncle and I had met you around this time of day at Fritz Mackensen Villa Worpswede - your former place of residence, listening to the birds outside.

Worpswede at winter's end 1975 - It was the first day of April. My uncle (36) and I (13) visited Reinhart (39) at his picturesque home at its town's limits. Life was still young for me and full of opportunities for not being forced into religious clusters. "Go gently through your life" - and I have learned to do so - free like a bird - beyond cages ... "Winter's End", a bird related song by Dutch band The Cats - Reinhart might had loved it. So beautiful!
